This project required a pre-packaged plantroom solution to deliver a heat source and supply the
Lower Loop, District Heating Main onsite.

CONSTRUCTION - HEALTH

PROJECT PROFILE
This project was to carry out the replacement of the roof covering on a complex structure. The roof structure has a steel truss frame with a concrete lid. New roofline and guttering were installed. Also included in the scope of works was the Installation of solar PV to provide electricity for the building. The scaffolding was particularly challenging, requiring large beams partial road closures and a full design. All works were carried out whilst the building was fully occupied and operational., providing uninterrupted use of the buildings.

ELECTRICAL - MANUFACTURING

PROJECT PROFILE
This project featured the upgrade of lighting within three hangars and associated buildings to utilise modern, LED, efficient lighting. Due to the age of the building asbestos remediation works were also required and all works were carried out once the buildings were empty allowing for a rapid turnaround of works and minimal disruption to operations.

M&E - EDUCATION

This project was for a primary school based in Buckinghamshire for boys and girls, with over 200 pupils ages 4 to 11.
Henderson were tasked to survey and price for a complete replacement heating system and cold-water pipework to replace the existing obsolete infrastructure. Existing equipment was suffering from boiler failures, leaks, frequent callouts and was deemed end of life.
The project included new Ideal Evomax 2 40kW condensing boilers, low surface temperature radiators, distribution pipework and full plantroom upgrade including building works as required.
The project was completed within a tight schedule of the school Summer holidays to ensure the heating system was back in action before the school reopened for the new term.

NHS Project Completion

Henderson have recently completed project works at a King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust site.

The project undertaken was the refurbishment of the Coronary Care Unit (CCU).

This unit is a dedicated space within the hospital for patients that need a higher level of care after acute heart-related illnesses. This space can also be for those patients who have had devices such as pacemakers and defibrillators fitted.

Each patient receives continuous observation, treatment and specialised care typically for 24 to 48 hours and it is important that the CCU provides a calm, quiet and relaxing environment.

We would like to thank everyone involved and the client for being part of this fantastic project.

New Contract Win!

London Volunteer Estate Maintenance and Facilities Services

We welcome our new friends and colleagues who join us today.

As of the 1st August, Henderson FM go live in providing maintenance and facilities services across the Volunteer Estate in Greater London.

The Volunteer Estate supports military reservists and cadets.
We are proud to be supporting the Greater London Reserve Forces and Cadet Association and VINCI Facilities, all committed to ensuring our military personnel have safe places to work and train.

This is a great contract for Henderson's to be a part of and are proud to be delivering, the team have done an amazing job, working tirelessly to mobilise and be ready to start delivering from today the start of a 2-year contract!

Community Allotments Project

Starting in early June we assisted with a
project to rejuvenate and renew an area of land which was previously
given over to allotments which were available to the Military

Over time, the buildings on the plot have become structurally dangerous and so these have been demolished as part of the project, a building with an asbestos corrugated roof has also been demolished with the asbestos being safely removed and disposed of.

All existing allotments plot boundaries have been removed and the entire site levelled to a blank canvas.
In total, 60 new allotment plot boundaries have been instated and gravel paths created around them. Wheelchair accessible plots have also been created along with compost bins and a seating area where plot holders will be able to site and enjoy a cuppa.
The Site Works team are thrilled to have been able to organise this project which would not have been possible without the generous support of our contractors, we’ve calculated this support was worth over £200,000 and some of our major contributors are listed below:

Henderson FM Ltd, Project lead, covering all aspects of H&S also contributed heavily with labour and materials.

We’re all giving back to our Military Community, encouraging better wellbeing for the plot holders and adding to the biodiversity of the area.
The official opening of this revitalised community space will take place on July 22nd.

Battle of Britain Memorial Refurbishment

VINCI Facilities ensures that projects are delivering social value activities by supporting a person, a community, a local business or protecting the environment. Colleagues are encouraged to support the communities and causes that are close to their hearts or important to their clients, as part of their SOMAD - Stand Out! Make a Difference campaign.

Recently, nearly 100 volunteers, including 30 VINCI Facilities employees, worked tirelessly to refurbish The Battle of Britain Memorial in Caple-le-Ferne, Kent.

The Assistant Project Manager, VINCI Facilities, said: “Looking over the white cliffs, seeing France in the distance was how I sold it to some, but getting out of the office and making a difference, meeting people was the other!”

“The team spirit was amazing. Colleagues from Building Solutions Rainham office, Core teams from Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, and Folkestone, Project Managers who travelled over four hours to join in and help, all worked so well together to support the event.

A huge well done to everyone who has helped to ensure that this special place can continue to be a welcoming place for all of the visitors who come to remember, and hear the stories of the fallen.

District Heating Callout

The team responding to an urgent call of loss of service to a burst 10” district heating network to a strategically important site. Within hours, plant and the correct bodies where on site to carry out isolations, installation of 3no temporary boilers and carry out exploratory excavations to locate the source of the leak.

The site is now back live, and operational, with temporary heating and hotwater, with pipework repairs due to be completed by the end of the week.

This is all thanks to a trusting client, and a trust in our operatives that even when it’s an emergency, we operate with safety in the front of our minds and have a team that can deliver.

Having this resource in-house allows use to react quickly.
